Public Assembly & Special Detail Group


 The Public Assembly and Special Detail Group consists of three members.  Two Technicians and one career service employee, who all report directly to the Administrative Captain.  The group is dedicated to ensuring public safety at Assembly occupancies and events throughout the City and County of Denver.  The Group uses a two-pronged approach to accomplish its mission.  Dividing the Group into two separate functions, the Assembly portion of the Group reviews, educates, permits, and coordinates all Denver Fire Department rules, regulations and Code at both assembly occupancies and outside spaces.  The Special Detail Program physically places 129 firefighters at venues, occupancies and events to mitigate and enforce Fire Code, Denver Amendments to the Fire Code, and DFD policy.
