Drone Program
The Denver Fire Department Drone Program is designed mainly to assist firefighters in situations such as structure fires where the view of the fire is obscured. The primary drones in the fleet are all equipped with thermal imaging cameras that can show the obscured fire as well as measure the exact temperature at different points throughout the area.
The department has three drone vehicles that are all dispatchable to emergencies. All drone operators are FAA Part 107 Certified.
