The Lineshop has been Re-Programming all DFD Fleet Radios with a modified channel lineup. Day to day operation of the radios has not changed but there are some new channels and differences that all members should be aware of. Below is a list of these changes and an attached spreadsheet with the current radio channel lineup.
- Channel Postion 1 & 16 displays Fire 2 through Fire 23. All of these channels are the same “FIRE 1” channel.
- Channel Position 2-7 (FTAC Channels) how have ETAC1 – 4 for communication with Denver Health EMS. This eliminated a patch from the DFD dispatch consoles.
- Channel Position 2-7 (FTAC Channels) has a dedicated “Listen Only” Vocalarm channel
- Channel Position 11 (DTRS MAC Channels) include Englewood, Glendale, Arapahoe County, and Sheridan Police channels at the top of the column. This eliminates the need for extra portable radios on DFD apparatus for these jurisdictions.
- Channel Position 14 (DIA Channels) are now digital (P25) channels.
Not all radios have been re-programmed but the entire DFD Radio inventory should bee completed in the next few weeks. Please contact the Lineshop with any issues with the radios or there operation.
